This week, we’re diving deep into our defensive skills, focusing on techniques to defend against ground strikes, handle leg grabs effectively, and maintain strong guard positions. It’s all about reinforcing our defenses and working together as a team to elevate our game.

Defending Ground Strikes

Ground strikes can be challenging to defend against, but with the right techniques and mindset, we can effectively neutralize them. Through drills and practice, we’ll sharpen our awareness and reaction time, ensuring we can protect ourselves when our opponent attempts ground strikes.

Mastering Leg Grabs

Leg grabs are a common tactic used by opponents to gain control or execute takedowns. By understanding how to counter leg grabs and maintain our balance, we can prevent our opponent from gaining the upper hand and maintain control of the match.

Guard Position

Our guard is our first line of defense, and it’s crucial to keep it strong and secure. This week, we’ll focus on techniques to maintain a solid guard position, preventing our opponent from passing and setting up attacks. With proper positioning and technique, we can effectively control the pace of the match and create opportunities for offense.
